The One World 2023 festival will showcase the latest documentaries from around the world, including special pieces that have recently been awarded at prestigious festivals. The festival will also bring the best from the Slovak and Czech documentary scene. Domestic films will traditionally be part of the Slovakia and Czech Republic documentary film competition section for human rights.<\/h4>

A view from the future that does not yet exist, the composition of Alexander Dub\u010dek's face, the story of a physicist from Brno and a passionate homemaker who has an idea how to save the planet, but also the fate of people who have to travel abroad for hard work. The International Documentary Film Festival One World 2023 will bring, in addition to world productions, twelve Slovak and Czech news that explore past, present and future topics that resonate in our region.<\/p>

It is an honor for us to traditionally support the One World festival. It reflects current societal and global events, offers a view of places that we would not otherwise see, provides testimonies that we would otherwise not know about at all.<\/p>

The director of SAIDC Tom\u00e1\u0161 Bokor will be one of the guests of the discussion Caf\u00e9 Europe: Photophobia <\/a>at 6:30 p.m. in the Slovak National Gallery on Sunday, November 5, after the screening of the film Photophobia.<\/p><\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On a cold February morning, twelve-year-old Niki and his family arrive at a metro station in Kharkiv to hide from the horrifying war raging in the streets of the city. For Niki\u2019s family, daylight becomes synonymous with mortal danger\u2026 That\u2019s the synopsis of the new Slovak film\u00a0Photophobia<\/em>, which stood out at the Venice Film Festival just a few weeks ago. In the discussion, we will take a closer look at how the experience of war affects the psyche of (not only) children, and what European institutions and organisations do about it.\u00a0<\/p>
